Target

Big stores in the United States that sell everything: clothes, food, toys and more.

📖 Its story

In 1902, George Dayton opened a department store in Minneapolis. Sixty years later, in 1962, the family opened the first Target store to sell good things at low prices. Today there are Target stores all across the United States.

💵 How it makes money

It buys products from the companies that make them and sells them for a little more in its stores and online.

🤯 Fun fact

Its mascot is Bullseye, a white bull terrier dog with Target's red circle around her eye.

👍 The good part

It has lots of loyal customers and its own brands that are only sold there.

⚠️ The risk

It competes with giants like Walmart and Amazon, which also sell things cheaply.
